Bandar Darulaman is an integrated development spanning over 2,200 acres of freehold land slated to become one of the biggest and best-planned townships in the north. Consisting of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional parcels, this township is well supported by functional features and facilities that combine a lifestyle living truly "Everything In One Place ".

Currently, about more than 1,500 acres of the township has been developed to date. In fact, Bandar Darulaman is now already home to educational institutions such as the Institut Perguruan Darulaman (IPDA), Politeknik Muazam Shah (POLIMAS), Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP), Institut Aminuddin Baki (IAB), Kolej Komuniti MARA and more.

These institutions occupy about 150 acres of land in total and estimated students of 5,000 people.

A total of 2,566 link-houses have been built, housing an estimated population of 13,000 not including those residing in the shop lots, bungalow lots and those who are working with the industries and the educational institutions.

When completed, the township of Bandar Darulaman is expected to have a  population strength of more than 50,000 people. When combined with the population of Alor Setar, Jitra and other surrounding areas one is looking at a growth centre in every sense of the word.

The self contained nature of the township coupled with thoughtful planning and careful implementation should turn Bandar Darulaman into a vibrant township worthy of its status as a model especially in Kedah Darul Aman.
